  • Rest stop in Mollepata for 20 minutes

  • Continue to Challacancha, the starting point of the trek at 3600 meters (11500 feet) altitude

  • Approximately 3 hours of travel to Soraypampa base camp at 3912 meters (12834 feet) altitude

  • Enjoy a panoramic lunch with views of Humantay and Salkantay mountains

  • Trek for 1 hour and 30 minutes to Humantay Lake

  • Return to base camp for tea and dinner

  • Keep an eye out for the colorful array of birds, including hummingbirds, parrots, and the magnificent cock of the rocks.

  • Reach the picturesque Lucmabamba at 2064m-6771ft, where a delicious lunch awaits.

  • Set up camp in this scenic location and spend the night in comfortable tents.

  • 4:00 a.m.: Begin the day bright and early to maximize your time at Machu Picchu.
